Going back to our Big Fat Greek Home

Those were the warm feels we got by watching the film of My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3. Seeing all of our favorite characters return to the amazing Greek sceneries was the exact medicine we needed to make peace with the fact that it’s already October and summer is over.

Is it though?  Toula’s journey to Greece in her effort to keep her father’s legacy alive reminded us that in the Greek islands, summer is never really over. It keeps on living in the warmth of the local people and the eternal Greek sun. It peeks at us among the waves of the Greek flawless seas that can entice even the most demanding visitors throughout the whole year. We can still taste it in the amazing local cuisine, created with fresh, pure products of the Greek earth.

Toula’s devotion to her family is what makes her go back to her roots and remember what life is really all about. And what better way for us, the viewers, to reconnect with our own deepest life meanings, than by joining a favorite character in their journey of self-discovery! What will we discover for ourselves? Where do we want to set our own roots and where is it that we feel most at home?
